Expense tracker that works without linking your bank account

FinMan is an expense tracker that does not need access to your bank account: you download a statement from your bank's own app (CSV, XLSX or PDF) and upload it — in the app or by sending the file to the Telegram or WhatsApp bot — and add the rest by hand. Bank credentials never leave your bank; connecting Monobank directly is optional.

Many budgeting apps start by asking for your online-banking password or an aggregator consent. If you would rather not, FinMan works the other way round: the data comes from you — a statement file, a photo, a message — and the app has no credentials to lose.

How it works

  1. Download a statement from your bank's app (CSV, XLSX or PDF)
  2. Upload it to FinMan — in the app or to the Telegram bot
  3. Add cash purchases by hand
✅ Your month is complete — and no app ever saw your bank login

Statements you download yourself

Export a statement from your bank's app — CSV, XLSX or PDF — and upload it to FinMan. The importer learns each bank's format on the first file, assigns categories and detects duplicates, so a monthly upload takes a minute. For a format FinMan has never seen, AI builds the template on the spot.

Cash and small purchases: add them by hand

Expenses that never touch a bank card — cash, a market, a shared bill — are added by hand in the web or Android app in a few taps, with the same categories your statements use. Fuel receipts and meter photos can go through the Telegram or WhatsApp bot, so the picture stays complete.

Frequently asked questions

Does FinMan ask for my online-banking login?
No. FinMan never asks for bank credentials. Statements are files you export yourself; the only direct connection is the optional Monobank integration, which uses a personal token you create in Monobank and can revoke at any time.
Which statement formats can I upload?
CSV, XLSX and PDF from any bank. FinMan remembers the format per bank, so after the first import the next file is parsed instantly.
What happens to duplicates when statement periods overlap?
FinMan detects transactions that are already in your account and skips them, so re-uploading an overlapping period does not double your expenses.
Is it free?
Yes. Statement import, expenses, utilities, cars and family groups are free with no time limit; only AI extras such as building a template for an unknown bank format are metered.
