Four moments when your own numbers decide
The provider's online account shows what the provider has. It does not show what the meter actually said on the day you looked at it — and that difference is exactly what matters here:
- Billed by average. Missed the submission window and got an estimated charge? A dated reading shows the real consumption, and the recalculation becomes a formality.
- A charge that looks wrong. A tariff applied from the wrong date, zones mixed up on a day/night meter — you can only argue with your own sequence of readings.
- Handing over a flat. A tenant moving in or out, a sale or a purchase — the reading on that day, with a photo, ends every later dispute about who used what.
- A replaced meter. The old meter's last reading and the new one's first are the only two numbers that keep that month's consumption honest.
What to keep: value, date, photo
A number in a notebook is half the evidence. What settles a question is the value together with the date and a photo of the dial — proof of when and what. Keeping that by hand every month is exactly why most people don't.
How FinMan does it for you
Photograph the meter in the Telegram or WhatsApp bot. AI reads the digits, matches the meter to the right address and service, stores the value with the date and the photo, and calculates the bill from your tariff. Nothing to type, nothing to file.
- Forgot last month? Send the photo now and set the real date with /historical — the history stays in order.
- Day/night meter? Each zone is stored separately, so the difference is computed per zone.
- Provider connected to FinMan? The same photographed reading can go to the provider's online account after your confirmation — one photo, both records.
